AI Policy

Our stance is simple

Loom does not use, integrate, or plan to integrate artificial intelligence into any part of our platform now or in the foreseeable future. Every moderation decision, every feature, every response is powered by real people and deterministic code. That's a promise.

1. No AI in Loom

Loom does not use artificial intelligence in any form within our platform. This covers, but is not limited to:

No AI moderation All reports submitted via c.report are reviewed manually by a real member of the Loom team. No automated AI system filters, scores, or acts on reports.
No AI-generated responses Loom does not use language models, chatbots, or generative AI to respond to users in calls, DMs, or commands.
No AI profiling We do not use machine learning, behavioral modeling, or predictive analytics to profile, classify, or make decisions about users.
No AI content filtering Message content is not processed through AI content moderation systems. Human reviewers handle all flagged content.
No AI matchmaking Server connections through Loom's call system are made through a simple queue, not AI-driven matching algorithms.

2. Why We Take This Stance

We believe that the communities built on Loom deserve genuine human oversight and accountability. Automated AI systems, however advanced, introduce opacity into decisions that directly affect real people including who gets banned, what content is flagged, and how users are treated.

Loom was built around the idea that real connections matter. That principle extends to how we run the platform: real humans, real decisions, real accountability.

Human first moderation Every report submitted on Loom is reviewed by a member of our moderation team with full message context. We do not outsource this to automated systems. If you submitted a report and want an update, join our support server.

3. Data Is Never Used to Train AI

Your data messages, profiles, call metadata, or any other information collected by Loom is never used to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any artificial intelligence or machine learning model. We do not share your data with AI companies or AI research projects for any purpose.

4. Third-Party Services

While Loom itself uses no AI, some third-party services we integrate with may independently use AI in their own products. This includes platforms like Top.gg and Flick. We encourage you to review their respective privacy and AI policies.

Loom does not control, endorse, or take responsibility for any AI practices of third-party platforms. Our AI Policy applies only to systems directly operated by the Loom team.

5. Future Changes

If Loom ever reconsiders this position and chooses to integrate AI features in the future, we will:

Announce the change clearly and in advance through our support server and website.
Update this AI Policy with specific details about what AI is being used and how.
Give users meaningful choices about whether AI features apply to them where technically possible.

We will never silently introduce AI into Loom without transparency.
